This 30-minute guided visit will introduce you to some of our education winged ambassadors. Interpretive volunteers and staff will discuss the natural biology of these raptors, as well as how we all relate and interact with our shared environment. The tour spends a few minutes outside in our outdoor raptor enclosures, so please dress for the weather.
Weekend Raptors of Minnesota program
1-hour program every Saturday and Sunday, starting at 1 p.m.
Ages 3-17 $5.50
Ages 18-62 $8
Ages 62+, students $5.50
See at least 3 live raptors out of their enclosures and on the glove with one of our trained interpretive naturalists. Watch as the birds eat, and explore what makes them so unique and valuable to our community. Program includes a tour of the outdoor raptor enclosures, so please dress for the weather. Program lasts an hour and is great for families or groups of all ages.

The Raptor Center is located on the St. Paul campus of the University of Minnesota, just west of the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

The cost of parking is not included in any tour or program fee.
- Limited metered spaces are available on the north side of The Raptor Center on Fitch Avenue. ($2 per hour / accepts credit cards)
- Gortner Parking Ramp is located across the street from The Raptor Center. Visit the Gortner Ramp page to see hourly and special weekend rates.
Summer Months (June- August): Meter parking on Carter Avenue
After dropping off at The Raptor Center, continue south on Gortner Ave. Turn right onto Commonwealth Ave, turn right onto Cleveland Ave and then the next right onto Carter Ave where there are parking meters (accepts credit cards).
School year (Sept.-May): State Fair Grounds
After dropping off at The Raptor Center, continue north on Gortner Ave. Turn right onto Buford and follow to first stop sign (you will cross Randall Ave) to the parking lot (fee is $5 for the day / cash only)
