The Raptor Center is currently closed
Following the Minnesota Department of Health’s recommendations, The Raptor Center is
currently closed to the public. All tours and programs are suspended until further notice.

We currently have limited staff on site and apologize we are not able to answer the phone. If
you are calling about an injured raptor between 8am and 5pm, please leave a message and we
will return your call as soon as possible. Messages left outside that time will be returned the
If you have questions about a program, would like to make a donation, or have any other
inquiry, please call and leave us a message and we will ensure it gets forwarded to the correct team
member. The majority of our staff are working remotely so we appreciate your patience and
understanding during this challenging time. We look forward to reopening once public health
officials determine that it is safe and appropriate.
Directions & Parking
The Raptor Center is located on the St. Paul campus of the University of Minnesota, just west of the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

The cost of parking is not included in any tour or program fee.
- Limited metered spaces are available on the north side of The Raptor Center on Fitch Avenue. ($2 per hour / accepts credit cards)
- Gortner Parking Ramp is located across the street from The Raptor Center.
Summer Months (June- August): Meter parking on Carter Avenue
After dropping off at The Raptor Center, continue south on Gortner Ave. Turn right onto Commonwealth Ave, turn right onto Cleveland Ave and then the next right onto Carter Ave where there are parking meters (accepts credit cards).
School year (Sept.-May): State Fair Grounds
After dropping off at The Raptor Center, continue north on Gortner Ave. Turn right onto Buford and follow to first stop sign (you will cross Randall Ave) to the parking lot (fee is $5 for the day / cash only)
All campus parking is managed by the University and not The Raptor Center. For more information such as parking maps, additional options, and costs can be found on the University of Minnesota's Parking and Transportation Services website.
